Introducing: Rachel Louise Grimbleby
Nickname: Grimmers (I hate it)
Position within Road Traffic Solutions: Planning Co-Ordinator
Length of time with Road Traffic Solutions: 3 months – Feels longer in a good way 😊
What do you do on a day-to-day basis within your job?
Look to further develop working relationships with a variety of clients. Contact new leads. Quote / book in works on to REP’s / Salesforce.
What do you like about working at Road Traffic Solutions?
The colleagues and the mixture of clients I speak to.
What are the values that drive you?
Honesty, Ownership and Resilience.
How has your time at RTS been impacted by Coronavirus and the lockdown?
As I only started working at RTS 2 weeks before the lockdown it has been a very unusual first couple of months in a new job. I had only barely met my colleagues and not had chance to really build the new relationships that you develop in a new workplace, however, I have felt extremely well supported and I know there is always someone willing to help me just a phone call away. From a learning the role perspective, I believe it has probably enhanced my learning as it is almost like being thrown in at the deep end. I prefer and enjoy this manner of learning and thrive off the challenge, especially as I know that even though I may be in at the deep end, my colleagues have got a rubber ring ready to save me if I need it haha 😊
What is your favourite quote?
“I don’t want to be a dancing monkey” Me. It’s supposed to be “I don’t want to be a busy fool” – Stephen Covey, but I altered it 😊
What is your favourite song, film or book and why?
“Airplanes” by B.O.B featuring Hayley Williams – It always makes me think of my Grandad.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not at work?
Spending time with my son, playing sports – Football / Badminton.
Give a fact about yourself nobody else knows:
I once won a years supply of biscuits by eating the most wagon wheels in one minute 😉
