The Road Traffic Solutions leadership team possesses 100 years of industry experience, applying it to creating a fast growing business. The team coordinates 140+ people as they deliver great value and high quality, reliable professional services. Committed and passionate, with real flair for delivering a top job, we work hard to ensure high customer satisfaction. Our leadership team has wide sector experience, bringing a diverse & complementary skill set to lead our business forward. We apply our experience to driving growth as well as establishing our reputation as one of the UK’s leading traffic, site and event management business.

BEN DEXTER

Chairman

Ben acquired full control of Road Traffic Solutions in 2018.  He has been with the business for many years, and fulfilled many roles right through to Managing Director.   His wealth of Traffic Management experience ensures we benefit from his deep industry knowledge.  We apply this to ensure that Road Traffic Solutions continues to innovate and remain at the forefront of the industry. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.  With the number of process and systems that Ben has developed and gone on to become industry standards, the industry holds him in high regard.

RICHARD GREEN

Managing Director

Richard was appointed Managing Director, and joined the board in April 2019.  He brought a wealth of management experience to RTS, with a background in senior operational roles.  His breadth of experience and expertise provides the operational insight that enables RTS to extend into Event and Site solutions.

MERYL DENNIS

Director - Total Event Solutions

Meryl brings a wealth of event and hospitality to the team. She has built the business from the ground upwards. Starting with very small seeds Meryl has nurtured a business with a burgeoning reputation for high profile events.
Leading a team of event specialists Meryl brings a unique blend of gravitas, panache and hands-on experience. She applies this skillset to Total Events Solutions and the RTS leadership team.

MIKE HOTCHKIN

FINANCE DIRECTOR

Mike joined the RTS team in August 2021. He brings with him a wealth of experience gained in both private practice and industry over the last 40 years.
After joining a local accountancy firm at 16 Mike spent the majority of his career in the logistics industry. Over the last 30 years he has been employed in senior management roles within Pan-European and locally owned businesses. He even had a spell managing his own haulage company.
Mike wanted a new challenge and left his role as Head of UK Finance for a European Port operator to join the RTS Team in a very exciting period of expansion.

NICK THOMPSON

Head of Sales

Nick is the latest member of the RTS leadership. He brings an eclectic career history that a wide range of roles. These include MD with a Premier League football club, marketing roles in national newspapers and leadership of fast growth businesses. The common denominator is building businesses with exceptional customer experience. He has recently moved back to North Lincolnshire. He is a passionate Hull City supporter as well as a published writer and study editor.

JOHN BRADY

Compliance and SHEQ Manager

John possesses an unparalleled experience in Traffic Management. He boasts over 30 years in the industry, and over half of that with RTS.  He leads our compliance and training programmes.  A qualified, Lantra-registered instructor, and assessor, he also delivers SQA and H&S based courses.
John holds ultimate responsibility for quality of both our training and service delivery. Our reputation for service excellence is in now small part down to John.

DAN MARTIN

Events Manager

Dan is one of RTS’s longest serving members and in his time has worked across all areas of the business.   He is an ambitious and dedicated member of the team bringing his unique brand of creativity and energy.  This is  particularly true in the events space, where Dan’s experience of high profile events stands us in good stead.  Dan leads a focused team in building this arm of RTS. He has managed some of the UK’s largest and most prestigious events

LIZ CLARVIS

Customer Service / Planning Manager

Liz is a recent addition to our senior leadership team.  Like many of our senior team Liz has been appointed from within the business.  Liz has worked across a number of parts in the business making major contributions to our compliance and training teams.  Her broad knowledge gives her great insight into delivering planning and drawing services aligned to our customer needs.

HARRY MCNEIL

Operations Manager

Harry joined RTS in 2016, bringing with him extensive experience in both sales and operations.  His well-rounded commercial knowledge adds an operational focus to our delivery.  In particular Harry has supported our growth across the country with operational excellence.
