Meet The Team – Holly Clayton-Coome

People are a large part of what we do here at Road Traffic Solutions. Through 2020 we wanted to take the time to introduce some of them to you in a short Meet The Team series.
Introducing: Holly Clayton-Coome
Nickname: HCC, Dolly or Coomey
Position within Road Traffic Solutions: HR, Payroll & Accounts Administrator
Length of time with Road Traffic Solutions: 3 years
What do you do on a day-to-day basis within your job?
Make sure everyone gets paid haha! I also do the HR administration, so if you get a letter from me (9/10 times you’ve been naughty), and finally day to day accounts admin.
What do you like about working at Road Traffic Solutions?
I love my job but I would probably say it has to be my colleagues that make my work life enjoyable (even when they are driving me mad haha!). On top of that every job and client is different so there is a lot of variety.
What are the values that drive you?
Happiness, Determination and Passion.
How has your time at RTS been impacted by Coronavirus and the lockdown?
Work wise my work load has seen an increase due to colleagues being furloughed, but as I like to say “team work makes the dream work”. I think the biggest thing I have struggled with is not being able to see and speak to people in person (or “real life” as I like to call it). MS Teams and phone calls just don’t cut seeing someone’s happy/grumpy face haha!
What is your favourite quote?
I don’t have a famous one but I think my colleagues would probably tell you that my fave line is “Thanks ever so…” 😊
What is your favourite song, film or book and why?
My fave song has to be “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri, I walked down the aisle to this.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not at work?
Spending time with family and friends. I did a photography course a couple of years ago so I’m a bit of a click clicker, especially if the subject is Flossy (my dog).
Give a fact about yourself nobody else knows:
When I was little I always wanted to be a zoo keeper and look after the elephants and giraffes… I’m not quite sure what went wrong along the way and how I ended up working in an accounts office haha!!
